Mother tongue idiom: Đi hỏi già về nhà hỏi trẻ
“Đi hỏi già, về nhà hỏi trẻ” is a familiar idiom for Vietnamese people (brief translate: asking elderly people along the way, asking children when get to home). This saying is based on experience, transferred from generations. It reminds you a tip as you went you to society that when you are struggling and need some support, you should ask old people as they have more experience through their entire life. Then, when you get home, you should ask children because they are innocent and truthful at all times.
Nice idiom but it is mother tongue, not tounge.
